Well, certainly, it can be healthier and a lot less messy, but fried chicken or cod fillets are an order of magnitude better in oil.

Spent a couple days in Tromso, with all respect, if what I ate was the cod, it must be an acquired taste, like chitterlings. Didn't make friends with it. 😵‍💫

i understood what you mean. i was pointing out that riding a horse is a different experience with its own merits to enjoy, as is frying with oil. “obsolete” is contextual to preferences.

you're right about the horse of course, but I assure you oil kills and one thing you have not yet considered is that oil's taste is unnatural to us, we have grown accustomed to it due to necessity because fried goods are great. Like ex-smokers are disgusted by smoke, people who ->

I've never been able to get good deep-frying-type results in my air fryer. It's great for reheating things that were already fried, but it just can't deliver golden-brown fries or chips. It's more like driving a sports car when high-speed rail exists.
