Just write. Don't go back, don't edit, if you're stuck, make a note and jump to the next scene. You can fix EVERYTHING afterwards, but you can't edit a blank page.

Write a lot. Read a lot. Writers learn to write by WRITING. Writers develop their own unique writing voice by READING a lot.

Read your writing aloud AFTER you’ve drafted the entire piece. If you read aloud you will find your meter, your style, and your diction.

Yes, Trenton. You're absolutely right. Reading aloud is especially helpful with dialogue. If it rolls off the tongue, it will ring true in the ear.

Know your destination before starting.

Outline first, then expand to a storyline-treatment, then expand to your first rough draft, & then keep re-writing.

Your 1st draft is written from your heart. Subsequent drafts are written from your head.

Don't worry about 1st draft being good. Just write.
