This has never happened before, and I've literally ordered hundreds (thousands?) of yards of minky from them.

I don't! If anything, If they're remaking your fabric for free, you can always donate them for charity auctions or sell them as b-grades.

Minky is short in length enough for it to make less of a difference. Maybe a small discount if you feel it does? Not so much that it invalidates your work time obvs
