The answer is we have more guns in this country than there are men, women, and children. Adults get access to guns and head out to slaughter children & teachers. Children get access to guns and head out to slaughter other children. The GOP like it that way. Our exceptionalism is in slaughtering.
Cops love to point the finger. But a lot of these gunmen are known to the police. Idk anything about this case, but very often; an argument could be made that it happens because the police failed to do their job.
The shooter was a 15 year old girl. How would you recommend cops find out about that teen? Should they have followed her wherever she went? Maybe arrest her before she even picks up the gun? That's what you seem to want cops to do for all shooters.
It easy to find out that other shooters were known to the police to be trouble some; if you were curious about that, you could find it online. Or don’t be curious and be confident in what you already think. Idc
Well I admitted I didn’t know the specifics. But my point was you will generally find the local police seem to always have the same general response. And I’m pointing out it’s because they are actually responsible for the safety of the community that just went through a violent attack.
Yep, cops are responsible for safety of the community, but I ask again, how should they have known about the 15 year old and her plan to shoot up the school?
The media needs to stop spreading the story around. Where do you think kids get the idea from? It’s a tragic local story that only gets national coverage because it can be leveraged to convince Americans to make certain policy choices.
So the news media needs to stop reporting the news? School shootings are NATIONAL news because school shootings are happening far too often in far too many places.
Certain policy choices? What policies would those be? Saving lives of children and teachers? That would be un-American.
often it’s not the first time the kids anger is acted on. So it’s up to the local police to say how they can prevent this. Those kind of children aren’t exactly under the radar. They usually have been in trouble b4. So really that’s a question for the police. Also the media needs to stop spreading
Er, because Americans collectively prize the freedom to kill innocent people indiscriminately, than to regulate the use of murder sticks.
It really all just comes down to a total lack of empathy, which is one of the main traits that makes us human.

Only in America.
Mental health is irrelevant.
The reason this happens in the US and nowhere else is because kids have ACCESS to GUNS.
That's EXACTLY the question that should be asked.
