okay hear me out on this: Alastor sick day episode. Maybe since his wound ( from the battle with Adam ) was left untreated, it becomes infected.. causing alastor to get sick. Like not so bad to the point where it almost kills him, but like- maybe just a high fever and other flu-like symptoms

I feel like some of it stems from any tidbits we were given from old livestreams in the pilot era. viv describing him as dexter like killer/mamas boy and saying hes chaotic neutral when asked if his alignment is evil in a post release interview too, so like, we know theres some more in that deer

I mean, it's very clear they all have some sort of trauma, and since that's a main theme. I'm positive most of them, aside from the V, have a reason they are the way they are. Also, Alastor seems to have some ethics where Valentino/Vox seemingly have none what so ever.
