Good list. Almost all of this is online for a lot of people. The rest could be uploaded. That way you don't have to worry about a thing. Just exit with your bad self and all your bad cats and bad dogs. And the rest of your family, too.

1 of 2) Comment here from a person who has worked on disasters. For benefits what FEMA (and ARC) initially need proof of is that 1) your home is in the disaster area and 2) your name and picture match the paper sent to the disaster address. I.e.,
Valid cdl with pic and a bill to you at the adddess.

2 of 2) Once they determine your home is qualified, the rest is used to apply to FEMA for help with temprary housing, and if owner, rebuilding or repairing. You can apply to other agencies, too.
The will be at Disaster Assistance Centers. Keep determined to move ahead and good luck.

Unfortunately we have a protocol… load kids & pets, empty safe, grab hard drive, and go-bags(always packed and stocked). IF there is time and space-the 6+ totes already packed with irreplaceables (yearbooks, unscanned pics, etc) 😳
