Yes, he’s giddy horny. I don’t doubt that he’s consciously thinking more about sex in the moment. But I really don’t blame him after the immensely traumatic experience he’s had in just one day. I think he’s going to take a step back after he learns Asa is innocent and be at peace.

To me, the fact that denji focused on the kiss being associated with no pain as the reason why he’s fixated on asa is actually a sign of how he doesn’t prioritize her over the intimacy she gives. it’s not that /asa/ kissed him painlessly, it’s that he experienced a kiss without pain.

in the immediate aftermath of the assault, once again asa is not considered when reconciling with the sexual contact he experienced. It was “someone else”- not asa, not “a girl I like”. Entirely removed from her.

his pushing away of Yoru from her advances was not so much that it felt from the wrong person but that the sexual feelings inspired by them were, at that moment, incredibly contradictory and confusing with his despair.

if an innocent asa is what he wants, why does he say nothing of comfort or concern when she’s visibly breaking down at the table, merely saying something’s just wrong with her? Why does he not care when Yoru says Asa on the verge of a mental breakdown, instead continuing to follow
