I don't post much about #SpacesForListening but it's on my mind just how grateful people are for coming along. It's like it's out of proportion. Yeah as simple & as magical as that - truly listening to each other. And maybe we might notice all the things that pull us away from that. Why do we make this such a rare thing? Rather than a more standard part of our lives?

It is strange when you think that if we can do it as a group of strangers (albeit with a desire to join the group) then why can we not carve out time to also gift the space and time to those we work with and see each day…

It truly is a great gift to have the opportunity to listen and be listened to in a culture that can feel too reactive . It is certainly powerful at supporting my mental wellbeing.

Evening. That's the thing though. It isn't just a 50min zoom call. I mean it is *literally* that. And it's a space for connection with fellow human beings... with ideas & experiences, shared and contrasting. For solidarity. To hear, and to feel heard. That is rare & that's an issue.

It's SUCH an issue isn't it. We see how starved we all are of this kind of space & yetvwe continue to operate in shallow meetings with partial understandings & rapid decisions, wtf?😆🤷‍♂️
