Huh. I absolutely tore through this book. I mean, I read it on vacay, but still, I loved the intertwining complexities and histories.

Yeah, but:

a) You grew up in the US (it's a pretty American book)
b) You're more of an on-the-streets activist than me
c) I've kinda been unwell and my brain space hasn't been super-positive over the last few weeks

Maybe I'll give it another go in a few years!

Yeah, a & b make sense. On C - we can chat about the fabric of time and existence and differing perspectives on the bleakness (or lack thereof), but there's no need for a reread, friend. There are so many books, if you didn't like it, you didn't like it! Valid.
