I consider myself a needlessly fearful person at times, living my life in an incredibly conflict averse way (was just diagnosed with GAD, so that explains a lot), and even I am floored by the cowardice it takes to not just bow to fascism, but to welcome it with open arms.
Being so afraid and angry at everything and everyone that you've convinced yourself an unchecked armed force that can and will be used against you is somehow safer than seeing some outgroup you hate shopping alongside you at Walmart.
A lot of them don't understand the difference between ICE and CBP, to be honest. Doesn't mean ICE is needed or should be defended, but the amount I see and hear people in my life conflate the two says a lot.
Not saying that's wrong. But it has always struck me how much people do conflate them unintentionally, because in large part, we hear ICE more than CBP or Border Patrol on the news. ICE is the face of it.

look the fuck around you. ICE is not controlling our borders. they are an unaccountable fascist paramilitary.
