Network Admin. Back in the dial up days, shared a 56k modem between my dad and my computer. Also got into early firewalls and content filtering.

to be clear I'm no APT, but it is fun! a good place to start is downloading firmware images for random IoT devices and running binwalk on them, going in and looking at all their scripts, etc and figuring out how they work :)
