It's so funny to me that when Life is Strange 2 came out, a lot of people kept complaining about the focus on portraying racism, when in reality the game doesn't go nearly as far as it could (and should) have gone.

I mean, the fact that the Redemption Ending exists is so idealistic in and of itself. These two mexican kids that are perceived as terrorists in 2017 can just surrender to the police and the biggest downside is that Sean spends fifteen years in prison? Yeah, sure.
The police genuinely believed that they had killed a cop. With a bomb. They wouldn't get away with the big brother going to prison for only fifteen years, even if they were white, which they aren't.
Then there is the part where Daniel uses his powers in front of the police, so even without every other factor in the game, him getting to enjoy a normal life is completely unrealistic.
