Entered a codebase to fix a problem.

Got flashbacks to 6 years ago when I fixed the problem, in that same codebase.

Eventually realized my code was still there, between other changes that others in 6 years, it'd ended up in an unreachable path hidden by complex logic.

Rewrite it all!
