Postal 2 allows you to get stuck, notices, then moves your character a safe distance away from whatever it was with a gentle "don't do that again" warning

sonic frontiers has so many fun skips that should not be possible but it gives you so much freedom on how you approach getting thru platforming in the open zone and i rly love it

like, never when frontiers was newly released did i see anyone saying frontiers was an "aimless collectathon marred by horrible movement and useless combat" and now i see those takes crop up everywhere
also the combat is not useless they just have a skill issue (shoutout to DMC5, MGR:R, ultrakill)

the combat is awesome although i will admit i wish it was balanced better to be more engaging, it feels like whenever the main thing you’re doing is just using attacks and not getting thru a gimmick first it just ends rly quickly with no real effort

Hard agree. My favorite games of all time have some form of jank! Flaws in any piece of art can make them more beautiful, and my favorite works are made beautiful by the silly interactions.
