I've tried to find an alternative but was unsuccessful. Would love to see it happen though.

I’ve given up on isolated GB editors. Every time I try to do it it’s a headache, then I’ll get it working, and some update inevitably breaks it. I have started using other block editor libraries like blocknote where possible.
