I guess I'll start being even more clear with what I use and how involved I am, if people will even take it into consideration... Which is a shame, cuz as an artist that can appreciate different forms of art, without question the authenticity of it... Just the quality of it. - ThreadSky

When I appreciate art with more than a passing glance, I tend to marvel at the individual choices that comprise the whole and the artistic intent behind it. Like why did they do it this way instead of that way etc. The best AI can do is a façade of intention so my eyes start to glaze over.

It’s like fake fruit, that looks tasty at first, but then you pick it up and it’s hollow, and you bite into it and there’s nothing there. So whenever someone who’s used AI can tell me “the actual food is here on this plate, the fruit in that bowl is just to whet your appetite” then i appreciate that

It’s like how sometimes you can see a rather mundane photo and not be all that interested in it, but then you realize that it’s actually an immaculately photorealistic painting. From a distance the picture is the same, but up close you realize that every bit of dappled light has been considered.

Suddenly what was a mundane photo becomes an artist convincing you with extraordinary effort that what is depicted IS beautiful.
