Posts are not actions. Your concerns and pearl clutches don’t transfer into saving our Democracy. It’s like joining a gym to maintain strength and over all good health but never going. Volunteer for a campaign now. We’ve got 24 months. 🇺🇸

Being informed is important. If you are homebound, you can contact your local campaign office or Democratic club and volunteer to write postcards. I also believe writing letters to the editor of your news paper is important work. Congressional offices take phone calls as well. Here today 👇

Take care. Stay chill. 💙 (Or warm, as the case may be.)
Why, thank you for explaining this to us. You do realize that many of us have indeed performed concrete actions as well, right?
Many of us spent considerable time and $$ writing post cards, text banking, knocking doors etc.
Calling people “pearl clutchers” when you don’t know them is really shitty
Not enough people take action. I can guarantee you more people post and complain than knock on doors. I volunteer EVERY election season. In 2018 we had thousands of volunteers, this year maybe 100.
“Oh, but I didn’t mean for my overbroad, condescending post to offend people…”
Some of us are tired, some of us are trying to catch a breath before moving forward.
Clue #1 people know that posts aren’t actions, but they are communication. They are ppl reaching out. Don’t strike at them.
Many people wrote postcards, knocked on doors, phone banked, and donated. Thanks for being in that category. But there are many people who think that just posting on social media is active participation. We need them to join in and do more than that. We need to reach new voters and non voters.

People who've never placed signs or stuffed envelopes don't understand just how important volunteer efforts are.
