Volkswagen, a company literally founded by the Third Reich, is now viewed as less fascist than Tesla. I own a VW ID.4 EV but won’t even consider a Tesla until this guy is gone.

The design of Tesla’s main fleet has been stagnant for years. The only advanced worth mentioning are promises of self-driving that are not on track for delivery. Innovation is limited to promises of technologies that already exist. Everything on Tesla’s horizon is on the Las Vegas loop’s level.
On the software side, however, they are still way ahead of the competition. My 2023 VW won’t even let me warm up the battery to facilitate faster charging, which has been in Teslas for 5+ years.
Oh several do, I just had a Kona EV as my rental car in Vegas. The charging is sloooowww. Maxes out at 70 KW, my VW can hit 170 KW when it’s warm, a Tesla can hit 250 KW.
Got lucky and our Nissan LEAF EV was bought back by Nissan as they couldn’t honor their warranty on the battery, so got handed a check for $21K for our 7 year old car that we had paid $25K for. Was a nice down payment on the $41K VW which came with $7500 tax credit.
