Name a TV show you’re positive no one remembers but you.
"COP ROCK" (premiered 1990 on ABC)
An ensemble cast of police officers and detectives solve crimes across the city, while breaking out into musical choreographed dance routines. https://youtu.be/iV_eGWBJDSE?si=F6NfTm01n-2_QTVp
I remember that show! I loved it! It was such a huge deal for me that Nigel Terry and Cherie Lunghi were back together again in a project after they had done Excalibur together. ❤️
Ok, I know this was the Banana Splits Show, but was this the same show that broke into serial bits, like there was a pirate one, a Land of the Lost one...?
It absolutely was. I saw the HR Puffinstuff on Ice, if you can imagine things getting even weirder.
I also remember Lidsville and Land of the Lost...I know they had more.
Covington Cross! Holy cow, it's been a while. I loved that show. I thought I was literally the only one who did. Glad to see at least a couple other people watched it! 😂
Yes, indeed. The show was Roar. It was fun like Xena. Shame it only got like 9 episodes, but of course being cancelled gave Heath the chance to really take flight.
I remember both of these very well! Simon and Simon had their moments but Square Pegs was really good and too short-lived. Sarah Jessica Parker nerdiness!
Simon and Simon had the best theme song. Also my fav Hallowe'en episode moment:
Kids: Trick or Treat!
AJ: You're two weeks early.
Kids: We wanted to get here before the cowboy ate all the candy.
Rick: [walking by with a sucker hanging out of his mouth] Too late.
It's Like, you know.
Billed as the West Coast Seinfeld. The best part of it was Jennifer Grey played her self in it and the joke was that should could not get any work because people didn't recognize her because of here nose job
For some reason the only episode in memory is when her preserves sale gets raided by the fuzz for not having a license.
At some point the South became unlivable so they packed up and moved to California, but lost one or two of the kids on the road and just ... never spoke of it again?
Oh my word, I was thinking about that one the other day but couldn’t for the life of me remember the name. I could v clearly recall a trail on UK tv, the daughter firing a crossbow bolt into a door as her father walks in: “you could’ve killed me!” “You could’ve knocked!” Total trash 😂
So in the novel, which is quite good, a band of traveling sex workers beg to keep the character later embodied by A Martinez and I was like, yep. (The film eschews the sexual encounter.)
I watched it with my younger brother when we came home from school. If I ever met him, I think this is the only one of his works I'd even consider mentioning.
Hey, they just had a feature in the Guardian about this, so not only is is remembered, we know Marian wasn't allowed to shoot real arrows after she hit the gaffer's car while he was sitting in it eating lunch.
I watched it on showtime as a kid and taped it to vhs. I know it had a following online back in the day & maybe even a convention? Memory is fuzzy.
Coincidentally I remember your contribution too. Most people I describe it to assume I’m making it up. Who would make a show about a space garbage man?
I have all the Praed shows on DVD. I didn't think Connery was a great choice to replace him, so I passed on that series.
And yay, Quark. I was way too young to get what were no doubt a ton of sex jokes with those twins and the guy who was both a man and a woman, but the garbage jokes I got. *grin*
22 was a whole season back then, which sounds right. I mean, that it wasn't renewed. I figure if I liked it as a little kid, it couldn't have been too entertaining for adults.

If anyone wants proof everyone was on drugs in the '70s, check out their body of work.

I've only heard of The Bugaloos--this photo doesn't spark any memories.
Thanks goodness?
And you're correct. Few people know it today.
For years, any time my sister and I would start arguing, one of my parents would bellow “HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU??? NOT! IN! THE CASTLE!!!”
Miss that guy 😕

Could not name it to save my life!
I actually saw a couple of episodes again just a few years ago— a friend of mine had them on video!
Damn, I wish that had lasted.
To be fair, it WAS a long time ago.
At some point the South became unlivable so they packed up and moved to California, but lost one or two of the kids on the road and just ... never spoke of it again?
Clevon Little, Nancy Fox, James Whitmore.
(How dare you make me think of A Martinez.)
(Thank you for making me think of A Martinez.)
I can still hear a few bars of the theme song, "Seattle"

about two men in the strangest place
