also if you want to "erase" it from your brain, write it down on one side of a piece of paper. just write quickly by hand, you can be sloppy, even just word-like squiggles. and at the end, tear the paper in half, length wise. you go from feeling ick to neutral. its an amazing trick.

it works for every negative emotion you want to get rid of. like some jerk you met while out who got your goat. go home, write a page of the angriest shit you can think of about that jerk and then tear it in half. astounding results. lmk how it goes!

i had a lady teach me this. she kept old paper for it, with printing on one side. she used the backside (it was important to only write on one side, idk why). every evening, she would sit for 5-10 mins and vent out every negative thing that happened that day and tear the page in half. magic.

she said that it had something to do with letting the negative emotion flow down your arm on to the page (hence SUPER ANGRY scrawling). and then when you tear it, it erases it from your brain.
