So sad to hear that Cecile Richards has passed at just 67 years old. She was a fighter and a stalwart for the rights of women, just like her mom. Thankfully she lived to see a president affirm the #equalrightsamendment as the 28th Amendment.

I am saddened by the loss of Cecil Richards, such a courageous fighter for women's rights, finally she lived to see ERA signed into law by Pres. Biden. Thankful she will not see the nightmare that is to come when Trump comes to power. RIP MY FRIEND!!!
Honoring Cecile Richards, a fearless champion for reproductive rights and women’s equality. Her unwavering strength as Planned Parenthood leader and advocate inspired change. Let’s carry her legacy forward, fighting for justice and choice. Rest in power, Cecile. 🌓
My heart and head are broken, an amazing woman. So very grateful to @nicollewallace.bsky.social for bringing Cecile into our lives and making them better. What a warrior she was!
RIP, brave and beautiful and powerful Cecille. I feel this one hard. But let me add: “affirming” the ERA is meaningless and worse, giving people the illusion that something is enshrined in the Constitution when it’s not.
Oh, I’m so sad to hear about this news. She was a great lady. I know that she had brain cancer, but I guess I didn’t realize how far gone she was so very sad. Rest in peace Cecilia Richards.❤️❤️
I had the great honor of serving food to an amazing Indian family of mutual friends whose family member had passed. She was gracious, kind, and the true embodiment of a good human. It was an honor to have met you, maim. Go rest high on that mountain...your work here is done, but not forgotten.
She said such kind words to me 🙏😇

Thank you for reporting on this!
I promised all the gals at the House of Ruth that I would never give up on them or me!!
Please stand up for abused mothers and children, as sometimes they can’t stand up for themselves.😢
The #ERA gives them civil rights!!!!
So sad. She was so beautiful inside and out. She fought for women and families her entire life. She will be missed by those of us still in the fight for women's rights.

Thank you, Cecile. RIP
Isn’t it ironic she passed hours *before* the coronation …
Joy, you are the queen of disinformation.

They are especially full of hostility today, of course.
