We have to learn to never give up. Because Bigbaby45 isn't. He's putting people in place so he can play golf everyday. He's a joke and nobody's laughing
My word, what an absolute eye opener of an article. Everything spoken in it that wasn’t headed by the masses back in the 60’s we are fighting against today 🤯
Thanks for posting, was born in 1947, female and retired RN. I lived through all of this and remember it all. I was an activist on so many fronts. I find myself putting my sneakers on again. For however many years I have left. I refuse to give in or give up! Lies are the enemy!
Like Thom H, I saw "None Dare Call It Treason" in the 1960s, on newsstands and maybe in the hands of high school classmates. But I was lucky. My first exposure to the right singing along with the Chad Mitchell Trio's mockery "The John Birch Society" and "Barry's Boys": https://youtu.be/GNGfP1X4Uks?si=-itRWBoJ5w9R1wSt
I'm same age as Hartmann and find little to disagree with here. I would add the growing influence of the "Christian Coalition" especially in smaller, rural areas, worked hand in hand with Kirk, etc. to push their own ideals. Billy Graham Sr., others, were just as culpable and opportunistic.
Racists used a cloak of so-called religion to justify their beliefs…he didn’t “suck in disaffected workers”…he gave ppl a permission structure to openly support white patriarchy, supremacy, & ignorance. Representation mattered even to the sexist, racist, & willfully ignorant.
According to Greg Palast who was on the Kyle Kulinski show Kamala was robbed of 3,565,000 votes; 1/28/25 show—Secular Talk. Watch it on YouTube! Harris and America were cheated by trump/musk/magats of the presidency. Don’t be afraid, watch the program. Palast is a reporter and statistician.
Great read. Thanks Joy. I have been saying for a long time, the GOP plan to widen income inequality and take away our rights has been a decades long process.
If only the people who needed to see this had the reading comprehension skills or attention spans to actually read and digest that... That should be part 2, maybe? Try it in comic strip form???
Let's not forget the "pro-forced birthers" that organized in 1979, led by Jerry Falwell, George Weidel, Bob Jones Sr, Phyllis Schafly (of anti-ERA fame) & Paul Weyrich (co-founder of the Heritage Foundation) - the collective was determined to ignite a “hyper-conservative counter-revolution.”
The documentary, Bad Faith, marks the throughline of modern Republicans to the moment of the Civil Rights Act. They would rather "throw bleach in the pool" than share resources with black people 🥺
Well said. Only complaint is that Milton Friedman and his macroeconomics that the United States adopted in the late 70s, escapes the blame. 20th century Friedmanism was as radical from the right as 19th century Marxism was from the left. But instead of crushing it, we embraced it to our demise.

I’m thinking this week.
(Remember when he pointed at Jim Acosta and said, “You’re Fake News.”?!)
