My hubby is on Ofev which is $100,000+ a year. We have a grant through the manufacturer that pays for all of it BUT only for a year. I am happy to see it on the list. It slows the progression of Pulmonary Fibrosis which is incurable and fatal.

Can we try adding Synthroid to the list? A daily thyroid medication for Downs Syndrome and for those that have overcome Thyroid Cancer. I am sure there are more usages, but again it's daily meds used by a large number of patients.

Great, but... Unless the drug is generic (in the public domain), it's just cost shifting from seniors to the middle class. Instead, to get capitalism to work for us, force the drugs to go generic after patents expire. Don't allow a tweak of the recipe to extend patent rights.
