A few months ago, my mum rang me to ask whether I’d mind if my sister wore a suit to my wedding because she’s not comfortable in dresses.

I just paused for a moment and said “mum, you are asking if I, a transgender man, am going to be the gender police?”

She forgot I’m trans apparently
