Whether you meant this literally or not I think it is true. Her behaviours are much better examined through the lens of human psychology than politics or economics.
Also, putting aside what we may think of her politics, she is in a position of irreconcilable psychological stress. Everything her entire adult life has been about fell apart at top speed in a spectacular and utterly risible fashion. It’s a helluvathing for a human mind to try to cope with.
Humiliation and shame are amongst the most powerful and unbearable emotions. Each of us will decide whether we can be bothered to spare her any empathy — she’s an awful human being. Still, I’d be amazed if she hasn’t struggled with desperate depression over the catastrophe she’s made of everything.

It is actually quite hard for litigators to resist the urge to threaten to sue people. It is deeply ingrained. But, yet again, Liz Truss has broken new ground and broken the will of even hardened defamation lawyers with the stupidity of her complaint.

I thought anything that damages someone’s reputation is defamatory, but truth is an absolute defence in court against being sued for it? (Alongside other defences like fair comment, qualified privilege, etc…)

Saying she crashed the economy implies on some level that she had a clue what she was doing.
