If it were a clean CR it *might* be defensible. As it is, any maneuver that allows passage will be interpreted as support by Dem voters paying attention, & the cards will fall as they may

A concern I’ve heard from Senate Democrats: some worry if they support this CR, it’ll teach Republicans that they can write gov’t funding bills without Dems at the table knowing that enough Senate Ds will swallow them anyway. It could set the table for September funding debate.
