For the Canadian preorder I waited in the Best Buy digital queue for 3 hours this morning and when I finally got to checkout the site froze… Luckily the GameStop 30 minutes away from me had in store preorders still but what a process!

I'm in the UK and just after the Switch 2 Direct I got an email telling me I would get an invite to preorder from the My Nintendo Store. I missed a couple of chances to preorder with other stores, but the day of the My Nintendo preorders I got my email and placed my order without any issue.

I’m still shocked Walmart worked as well as it did yet Best Buy kept breaking! I was put out of the line a few times, it was stuck on “Coming Soon” for 30 minutes after the preorders started…Hopefully this doesn’t happen again.

Going into it, more people were prepared to use beat buy, and not Walmart. That meant Walmart was less whelmed by people than best buy.

Although I didn't even try to pre-order... so i guess that's why.

Wow, guess I was lucky! I planned on trying at midnight. Dozed off. Woke up at 12:35 in a panic. Went to Best Buy’s site, got in line. Within 5 minutes, it gave me the option to buy it. I figured if I was that late and still got it, that the demand must not have been that high. Went to sleep happy 🙂
