I think Hollywood media outlets are largely too squeamish for this but there's still going to be some blowback. What was he thinking? How much money are they paying him to permanently destroy his reputation?

I'm sure his thinking was that it would be nice to close out his retirement doing a new adaptation of those books his grandkids like.

A lot of older people who aren't online genuinely have no idea about JK Rowling going off the deep end. I speak from from long and difficult experience here.

By the time of the press tour, their teams and WB will probably have fed them the most positive spin on Rowling's words that they can, so it is the duty of every interviewer to just quote them directly. Shove it in their face.
