Even if they do, who's going to report it? NewsCorpse? They're too busy fawning over Dutton's anti-Semitism schtick. ABC? They'll just get some IPA Gronk on for 'balance'. Breakfast TV is a race for Neanderthals and social media is a sewer. Good luck with getting the narrative out there
It's not just a question of rhetorical muscle, it's also a problem with audience interest, volume of speakers, and countering cheap sophistry tricks.
Unless progressives can match the number of talking heads the right has, they can't counter the sheer amount of lying and cheap tricks.
The narrative is, these rich manchildren want to replace qualified and sound-minded leaders and administrators and workers with born on third base nepo babies.
Sure.
Hey everybody, you know how that orange idiot is in office. There is a reason for it because of COURSE there is a reason for it. It's because we stopped being the smart party. Instead we did these things:
- Abused the male allies so hard they finally gave up and defected.
1/
- Tried to say that it makes total sense to not have border security.
- Argued that hiring aimed at increasing diversity couldn't possibly be unfair to anyone.
- Engaged in an unyeilding battle of semantic pedantry for no reason about what to call transgender women.
2/
And look, the Rs are stupid about stuff too, like vaccines. Omg, they are actually against vaccines! But they added a bunch of not-dumb stuff. Like:
- Maybe immigration policy shouldn't be stupid.
- Let's stop alienating the boys and making them pay for everything.
3/
- How about we patch that birthright citizenship exploit?
And, the thing is, even though their leadership is dripping with glaring stupidity, it's good enough. And the reason it's good enough because you are being stupider and stupider.

Who represents progressive politics in (Federal) Australia?
The Greens, with 11-15% of votes & 14-15% of Senators?
How much weight should 'Joe Average" give their opinion?
Trump has spent 10 years campaigning. Itβs all he does. He campaigns always. And it works and itβs the new reality. Yet the Dems have still not figured this out. Whatβs the plan? Wait until June 2028, then start?
Itβs infuriating and dispiriting. Theyβre fkn clueless.
Interesting that despite having seen Trumpβs bullshit since 2015, almost 10 years; no one has developed a strategy for dealing with his firehose of lies.

Their greed will kill some of us, and make most of us poorer, sicker, and less safe.
βThey are ripping us off.β

Unfortunately, being strong and unequivocally supportive of progressive policies is actually the best vote winner there is.
