Internal sources say that the cooperative research units will be shut down by DOGE by March 10.

This is a 4-way partnership between state agencies, universities, the Wildlife Management Institute, and the USGS. Units have helped train generations researchers and practitioners. This loss is tragic.

They fired four workers at Blackwater National Refuge and, I think, two at Eastern Shore National Refuge. Eastern Shore is part of the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge complex. I'm so sick of all this. My Congressman, who is an election denier, is actually upset about these firings.
