Whenever Janice Raymond comes up (so rarely anymore, thank god!) I remember her not-so-subtle insinuation that trans people were invented by Nazis b/c the first trans surgeries were "performed in Germany in the 1930's." That the Nazis burned that institute to the ground didn't make it into her book.
