One of my favorite things about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr is while he was in seminary in 1950, he wrote a paper on "The Chief Characteristics and Doctrines of Mahayana Buddhism" which he got an A on. In May of 1967 in Geneva, Thich Nhat Hanh told him the people in Vietnam call him a Bodhisattva.
