They’re smaller than a Volkswagen Beetle and powered by a motorcycle engine. But truck drivers prefer them over big American pickups and are fighting to keep them on the road.

just SMDH at jacked-up 5,000 lb beasts on the road to take one person from point A to B. Especially when it's never seen dirt or used to haul anything...ever. It's overkill. I hope to see more of these on the road.
Some industries occupy a lot of real estate, oil and gas refineries for example, smaller vehicles are far more attractive for maintenance crews than full-size pickups.
Vehicles sold today must incorporate all patents for fuel efficiency presently illegally hoarded by various billionaire and corporate players that would allow even heavy private conveyances like pickups, SUVs and vans to get at least 100 mpg.
It's a great idea as gas becomes more costly cutting into profits. It less environmentally harmful, easier to park and unload. Capacity is an issue, but not used for local deliveries. Just as Detroit killed the trolley car and trains for buses and trucks, some trying again to stifle a better idea.
