Yes but is absolutely right to focus on the rich 1%, they do the different. If they agree, others will do too. So no distraction here from the 1%. They really do harm. A lot money means responsibility. They should be in focus now.

This is a really weird attempt at blaming the writing class again and seems bad faith usage of the statistics. Without even bothering to question what "50% emissions" means (what standard measurement do we use?) the median income is set on a bell curve while the emissions are an exponential curve.

A person making $43,520 a year doesn't somehow create the same emissions as the GM plant down the road. It simply doesn't make sense to use the two measurements that are fundamentally disconnected and put them together to place the blame.

And the ability of someone on $41k to make sufficient changes to their lifestyle to impact climate change is infinitely less than that of the top 1%.

And earning does not equal wealth. That is a basic mistake.
