I hope things like this dont happen to you often with how awfull that person was to you.
Short version, this convo would be hilarious as part of any discovery process along with basic PayPal tracking and ToS if you've got it listed.
Complete hot air being blown by Nimrod.
Wishing you the best and that the dispute doesn't affect you.
Also I'm sure you know, but impersonating an attorney is indeed a criminal offense in US law so I'm sure that Timrod would sing a different tune if that was dangled.
Can someone say "Karen?" 🙄
Here's what it seems like at surface level:
They seem to be trying to be a 'wannabe litigator'
And are basically trying to do 'contracual bullying' as well as 'bad-faith negotiate' when trying to manipulate or exploit the fair or agreed upon refund at start
2: They are trying to file a dispute with the payment agency, and PP'll collect evidence, ToS, etc.
3: They'll get their own paypal banned for attempting 'adult' purchasing.
4: They are visually able to see what the art style examples are.
You kept calm and collected and acted professionally the whole time.
Be proud of that!
You are completely in the right from what I can see.

Yeah, your art is totally a 5th graders. I'd love to see the average 5th grader draw as well as you! Hope calling him out like this really puts him in his place. If he comes to me for a story, I'm showing him this.
Pretty sure if this claim is true, if any firm that he works for catches wind of of this, he'd get fired and/or reprimanded.
If he's lying: well pretty sure impersonating as a legal representative is a crime in the US.
hoping the dispute quickly ends in your favour
No, this guy is not a fucking attorney. Scammers will say *anything* to get that extra penny out of you. This guy is a fraud through and through.
Sorry you had to go through this
