I'm reading an article about AI and Engineering and the more I read it the more I suspect large parts of it were written by AI given that it's both a) a very long article and b) many of the points when you dig past the highlights are not really well-supported and quickly slide off your brain - ThreadSky

lol I followed one of the study links in the post and now I'm seeing that the post liberally used stuff written by a consulting group that itself seems to be basically stating things with minimal evidence other than survey results that explains some of this

wow this is some serious wishful thinking "AI can help prioritize my inbox" honey what are we talking about right now "Uses AI to automatically update the sales pipeline" "sits in a strategy meeting with other people but instead of discussing different scenarios with the humans discusses it w/AI" ok

"quickly slide off your brain" really connects. Effective writing combines new information with a specific perspective. AI writing, even with interesting factoids embedded, totally lacks perspective, so never connects with me in a meaningful way. Reminiscent of the journalistic "view from nowhere"
