It’s a piece that covers the Polaroid when it comes out of the camera to protect it from light. Your Polaroid Now should have one. They sell them to add to these old cameras that don’t have them.

I got one just like that from when I tried to repair my old polaroid! Thanks for bringing back that memory. I managed to repair the camera eventually though, It was just a misaligned roller.

At first I was I highly annoyed but then as it was developing I saw it in a different light and it made me pretty happy. Not happy that the frog tongue was ruined though 😂

Yes, the distorted colors from the badly dispersed chemicals are super cool. I saw you use some polaroid app to scan those right? I might give it a chance to scan mines if I can find them first

Yeah the official Polaroid app. It’s free. I seem to get inconsistent border colors though. I like that it keeps the texture. If I use my actual scanner I lose that and really like that part of the border. Trying to figure out how to get consistent color though.

Super cool! I might try something tomorrow with good natural light. I think that it maybe has something to do with the phones automatic white balance 🤔 Anyways, thanks for the info!
