Trump is not smart people. Elon is not smart people. Plenty of these behind-the-scenes guys are very smart. Don't underestimate your enemy; it's a rookie mistake.

The Year of Hell in VOY was massively overhyped compared to the actual 2-episode arc, which really went by quite quickly and they came out on the other side in tact. Let's hope the same for reality. 🥰
IIRC, Year of Hell was actually the original concept for the entire Voyager series. That they’d keep taking damage each episode and be in tatters near the end. But the network wanted a fresh start at the beginning of every episode.

At the end of every storyline, that ship and crew were implausibly still in the same good shape they were to begin with.
And they made it home in the end.
I hope the same for us.
