The half-Vulcan-half-Human but Vulcan-educated Spock for sure has a tendency for cats coming from both sides - whilst his emotional face in the image looks more like his human side coming through...
try to imagine the amount of cat enrichment toys that Spock would have in his quarters if he actually had a pet, because with how busy he is with everything going on on the ship he would logically research everything a cat would need to keep it entertained and mentally stimulated.
They would not be opening cans of fancy feast because of replicators. *Boom* there’s cat food in a dish all ready to go, AND litter boxes would be automated or seriously just use the transporter to beam it into the sun, problem solved 😉
Now I wonder, if there are lumps of cat litter floating around in space. (I mean who wouldn't just beam nasty stuff from the litter box right into space?) Also, maybe cats are badly needed to keep fierce Vulcan mice (with tiny pointy ears??) in check...

They were successful in that job, except for the big fat tomcat of the Captain, who decided that, sitting on a cleaning robot is much more fun. 🖖
