Comments
In February, I’m headed to Mount Rogers, VA.
The goal: tackle ridgeline winds and practice navigation in exposed terrain. Highs of 40°F, lows of 15°F, and gusts over 40 mph.
March means boggy trails and wet conditions in Laurel Highlands, PA.
Testing waterproof boots, gaiters, and cooking efficiency. Highs of 45°F, lows near 20°F, and plenty of rain.
In April, it’s off to the Adirondacks, NY.
Snow-covered trails and steep terrain will push my navigation and endurance. Highs of 50°F, lows of 25°F, and lingering snowpack.
May’s challenge: the White Mountains, NH.
I’ll simulate full #ANWR expedition conditions—heavy pack, extreme winds (50+ mph), and multi-day logistics. Highs of 60°F, lows of 30°F.
