like imagine creating a FATAL character that actually makes sense and minus the stuff like rolling for your name and race and the anal/fist circumference rolls and you have at least an idea of how long it takes to create a Rolemaster character

yeah, like lots of rolls, lots of categories, craploads of charts for everything-like charts upon charts

it makes *sense*, like it works and the game itself once you sorta get into the swing of it, but boy is it...weighty to put it lightly lol

My ass grew up playing World Of Darkness because I preferred that it was way less of a crunch than D&D 2e. Just not fond of the crunchy stuff. Mutants & Masterminds and D20 Modern/D&D 3e are about my limit in that regard. But stuff like Champions, GURPS, and Palladium is just too much for me.
