Customers will soon realize that PHEVs mean two different drive systems, which means double the recalls and twice as many things that can go wrong! (Ask me how I know.)

Don't get me wrong, PHEVs are a nice stopgap for drivers committed to charging who want an EV most of the time but can't rely on charging infrastructure everywhere they go. But that's a really thin slice of the pie, and I doubt it'll get any bigger in the coming years.
I've owned two PHEVs (technically, the i3 was an extended-range EV in CARB-speak, but basically the same). Sold them both for EVs and not looking back.
