the worst thing about negative self talk is that i keep maladaptively using negative self talk to attack myself for negative self talk. like "stop being mean to yourself, you idiot"

To remedy this I try to think of myself as being in a friendship with different versions of me. So I say “stop talking about my friend like that…” so I don’t want to insult them anymore bc insulting them means both that I’m insulting a friend AND another friend is gonna be mad at me for being mean
