Buddy of mine brought up the echo chamber warning years ago on FB and it never really felt right to me that I need to listen to people I think are idiots to broaden my views. Now I actively want to yell, "HELLO! HellO! Hello. hello."

Well some of it is just the opposite of twitter. but fortunately I’m in a different head space and there is the power to scroll. However all my feed on twitter started to become nothing but political. So it’s nice to see humour, creativity, and scene pics mixed in again.
It’s so much more fun, even if you misunderstand someone, or take something the wrong way, it’s not a fight, just a simple apology, correction, and everything is good. I love reading things to my Mom and showing Meme’s and pics, we have quite the comedians, lol! Don’t miss the Negativity!

Well put. Instead of a steady stream of outrage bait and trolling I’m regularly amused, even if it’s groaning at a pun or being surprised by a hilarious take from an account with a couple hundred followers. I don’t know it can last, but Bluesky reminds me of what I liked about early Twitter.
I laugh at some of the posts. I cry at a lot of the posts. Some tears from deep emotional pride (Michelle Obama, Jimmy Carter, for example) some in grief for others here hurting. I relish the community and others ideas. WE WILL SURVIVE 💪
I don’t know. I just responded to a guy who said he hates dogs being in cafes. I said I didn’t mind and the pile on and personal abuse I got from his followers was twiteresk to say the least. Maybe all socia media is fucked up?
