What is it that u enjoy about urban foxes? In my Ldn 'hood, they regularly keep us awake at night through their vile screeching. More often than not, I find myself having to clear up their runny mess from my garden in the AM just so my children can play outside. A pest, and tantamount to vermin!

Ok Chris Packham. My neighbor puts scraps out for foxes, but one just ‘hangs around’ the house most of the evening. It gets really close, and follows me down my side alleyway. I have to shout at it to move to get back out again. Are they likely to lash out if I get too close?

As a rule foxes tend to avoid confrontation & their instincts are usually to run away. Sometimes they will hang around if they are fed. They’re entering cub season now so food is esp welcome. Lots of good info about them & behaviour on here:
