You’re sadly wasting your time Chris. Right wing social
media has conned millions of gullible people into not believing any of it. These are dark days.
David Attenborough has shown us how beautiful the world is beyond words. And also taught us that words alone will not save what is left to save. @rogerhallam.com

why not tax them instead? Why allow them to create feel good publicity? And before you ask currently a member of the next door gallery, because I care deeply about the arts and cycle my memberships around the london galleries despite not living in London. It isn't an either or.
Why ‘instead’? If there is a justification to make them pay more tax then make the argument. (Provided it doesn’t result in even higher energy costs in the U.K.)
As for “feel good publicity” - do you really pay much attention to who sponsors what?
Arts and museums generally shun tobacco, weapons and Sacklers. It's not so much about taxing the planet-destroyers as needing to reduce them to 0% of economy and assets. Their 'social licence' slows progress.
New business can take their place, but really better to have public funding of arts.
Sadly, social media has persuaded the dim masses that global warming is fake news. That.s the power, the immorality of the majority oil companies in league with equally morally bankrupt politicians. See Trump, Tory Party, Farage and Darren Grimes (local prat)
I do my best in Southern Ontario. We believe in crazy ass things like driving EV’s, solar panels and even recycling.
Western Canada who love their oil & gas just lost the federal election. Perhaps we will support their Oil & Gas exploits to screw those American Assholes.
An emotional & scary message beautifully delivered, Chris!
Why are we humans so utterly stupid and selfish... We could all work together and save the planet, but we're not going to!
The really desperate thing is that by far the majority of people globally support fixing the climate and moving away from fossil fuels - but politicians do not follow through. Why? Money.

Institutions are suffering enough without this type of self indulgence.
Just think of it as a tax on their profits and perhaps you’ll sleep better at night.

I sleep perfectly well thank you.
Do you feel the same way about gambling sponsorship?

Complex reasons politicians don't react, economic dogma and propaganda directly to them or via media. The social acceptability of fossil fuels is why this petition is so important.
