This bill, SB 230 in the Texas Senate and HB 239 in the Texas House, would let any citizen report a school district, city, or county letting trans people use the "wrong bathroom" to the Attorney General. The AG would then fine that govt entity hit $5k at first & $25k every day of "violation" after.

Speaking of a circus, this isn't League City's first culture war. The city, led by Councilman Justin Hicks, spent a year trying to restrict supposedly "obscene" LGBT books that promoted "ideologue human sexuality."

Please share this to anyone you know in the Houston area. While League City is heavily Republican, a number of trans folks live there. Trans or not, we all just want to pee in peace. Please encourage League City Council to vote against this resolution and tell them to leave us the heck alone.

Quite the deep cut there! Also was the site of a Civil War concentration camp for enslaved people and at one point had the highest per capita concealed handgun license rate in the state.

Was there a ruling yet? I’m seriously scared to even leave the house some days. I panic when having to use the bathroom in public, even though I pass as a man. Trans rights are human rights. We just want to pee.
