Aus and NZ are such small players that our fate is almost completely in the hands of the big guys. I agree that we need to reassess our strategic partnerships in light of the current global movements, though. But who do we align with that will 100% have our backs?

The lines of allegiance are being redrawn and the US is going to be on the wrong side. What does Australia & Nz do now? Look to our neighbours and significant trade partners - India, Japan, Phillipines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea etc. EU emerges as the new western superpower.
