a lot of these possessions aren't coming by way of post touches, but when Scottie is initiating from ATB and has to beat a switch, that's why there's such a high frequency of shots over bigs

this is really important, because the most effective defense against Scottie has always been the switch and sticking a bigger body on him and leaning on his relative lack of creative handle and burst from a standstill
even though he's shooting 43% against bigs, still good dev
lately Scottie hasn't really used this as a counter, moreso as the bulk of his shot diet, and that's going to come with a dip in efficiency unless you're Kevin Durant
right now he's trying to convince the NBA that this is a shot to be feared
ultimately, he's getting reps in on a vital counter that he will need his whole career, and it has the potential -- if he gets good enough at it -- for it to become a vessel for playmaking from the middle
it's essential he finds counters, and this looks like one
But, extremely nice to see Scottie harnessing his, in my opinion, elite touch (which could be identified by his post hook/push shot proficiency in year 1) and finding something to combat defenses fav coverage against him

And that means that Scottie isn't playmaking from here very often - but, the hope is that he's laying down groundwork right now for the future
