Might I suggest you make walljumps be a level feature as well? Perhaps mark areas that can be walljumped with things like ivy and sparkles.
It fits the magic theme, and covers a wide plane, making it clear that a "wall feature" is being implied, while still following your design language the player is meant to intuit.
